A reactive movement is something you do in response to sensed changes rather than somethinh pre-planned in detail. For example, a (humanoid) robot sensing it is swaying slightly to the right, migh move its foot to the right, or wing the left-hand arm outward. Reactuve movement can be seen as a form of closed-loop control.
